For the July meeting, SMC – Cleveland and SMC –Akron will be hosted by the Akron-Canton Airport on the topic of the legal ramifications of social media and how legal shapes social media policy in-house.
Kristie VanAuken, Senior Vice-President, Akron-Canton Airport and Joseph Feltes, partner, at Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP will guide a discussion on what companies big and small need to do to build and sustain a smart and effective social media strategy while avoiding legal pitfalls.

Parking - Parking is available in CAK’s long-term or economy lots. A free shuttle will pick you up and your parking will be validated.

Kristie VanAuken – Senior Vice-President, Akron-Canton Airport
Promoted to Senior Vice President in 2008, Kristie manages and directs all airport marketing and communication programs, including: air service development, branding, advertising, media relations, social media, and internal and external communications.
Kristie is often invited to speak at local, regional and national conferences and forums about airport marketing, branding and social media. Kristie authors "It's a Trip," a popular airport blog and can be found on Twitter at CAKristie.
Joseph Feltes – Partner, Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP
Feltes represents physicians and hospitals in compliance, contracting, and Medical Staff issues (including credentialing, corrective action and disruptive physician issues) and also advises companies and individuals on how to avoid liability for e-mail and Internet use and how to implement retention and disposition policies for electronically stored records.
Mr. Feltes speaks on health law, provider compliance, medical staff and problem physician remediation, e-mail and communication issues, HIPAA, and related issues for various organizations and clients throughout the Midwest.
