Social Media Club - Cleveland

A community for the champions of Social Media and those seeking to learn.

One of the topics we discussed at our last meeting included a discussion about your favorite social site. As we talked a bit about delicious, I thought it would be a good idea to share with others how you use the site and share your username so everyone can follow each other.

Personally, I use it just to keep track all of the articles (search, marketing and otherwise) I read throughout the day. While I keep telling myself that I'll go back and re-read all of them, for the most part, I save them for the rainy day when I think, "didn't I read something about that?"

If you'd like to check out my delicious page, you can view it here: http://delicious.com/DJLitten

If you haven't used or played with it, feel free to ask away any questions you have.

We use Delicious in conjunction with Feedburner and Wordpress to create a feed of interesting Cleveland articles and info. The feed then displays on one of our blogs, and eventually will run as a headline in our email signatures.

I use del.icio.us as a place to save things that look interesting or I know will be of value on my next project. I like the firefox extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3615 because the "recently added" tool bar reminds to go back and read the articles I recently tagged.

I use that Firefox tools as well, and the recent button gives me some semblance of knowing what I was reading during the week (and perhaps remembering my train of thought).
